In Portugal, we call this mackarel recipe "Carapaus Alimados".

Ingredients:
(4 p.)
~ 1 Kg of medium size Mackerels
~ 1 Onion
~ Olive Oil
~ Vinegar
~ Salt
Directions:
1. Salt the fish and keep it in the fridge overnight. In the next day, boil the fish in water without salt and let it cool for a while.
2. Remove fish heads, belly, outside fish bones and put mackarels in the plate/tray they will be served.
3. Season mackarels with olive oil, vinegar and the onion cut in fine slices.
Serve with salad, vegetables or boiled potatoes.
