Hi everyone. A good weekend to all.
I found a Portuguese Diet Pyramid online and made a few changes on how it looked to use in this post.
I think this pyramid is very useful to describe how the Mediterranean Diet is used in Portugal. It shows the essential differences between Portuguese diet and the one exemplified in the Meditteranean Diet Pyramid I posted before. This pyramid lists most basic ingredients used in Portuguese meals and I think it´s very accurate.

I´m still writing new posts about the last fish recipes I cooked. I´ve been very busy but I hope to post them soon. I´m also working on a posting agenda for all my blogs, including Portuguese Menu. I will blog about it when I finish organizing my new agenda. See you soon.

I find it very hard to have enough serving of meat and alternatives and grains etc and not put on weight. I wonder how people manage.
Wow thats interesting. Hey I got a mail from foodbuzz saying you didn't respond to their email. I am giving u the link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=PHmE_2beDgRu9lXCecP7ezkA_3d_3d
which u can fill out and submit and don't forget to put my name Vidhya Iyer as your referrer. Thanks
Hi Rachel.
Yes, we eat too much meat and grains. Portuguese in general are getting fat :)
Once we´re a fishing country we should eat more fresh fish but it´s so expensive that people can´t afford to have it every day.
Grains aren´t fattening, but the fat meat and chouriço we put in stews are. Overweight is becoming a real public health problem here too.
Cheers.
Hi Vidhya.
Thanks for visiting.
I´m sorry but I had very little time in the past weeks. I had a few problems to fix in my offline life and disregarded a bit my blogs. I will signup as soon as I get things fixed here.
Cheers.
