Fresh Mushrooms



I use fresh mushrooms in:
~ Pizzas
~ Pasta recipes
~ Beef au champignon
~ Some meat recipes
~ Quiche

Before using fresh mushrooms in any of my recipes I always boil them (whole) in salted water for 2/3 minutes. I do this because I like them best without their strong taste and black sauce.
I also like them fried. First, I boil them for a couple minutes, as I mentioned above. I let them cool and chop all in small pieces.
In a frying pan, I put three sliced garlic cloves and add two table spoons of extra virgin olive oil. I add salt and black pepper while they´re frying. After frying for 4/5 minutes they´re ready to serve with almost any meal. Delicious!

I have never boiled musheooms before cooking them - I will try it out and see what a difference it makes - thanks for the tip! I love the new look of the blog by the way!
