Portuguese Agriculture

Portuguese agriculture could be more developed than it is. In the last decades, people moved to the big cities and our productivity levels decreased.
Although our government doesn´t support agriculture and fishing as it should, Portugal continues to be a producer and exports a few goods.

Our most expressive production is:

~ Cereals: Wheat, Corn, Sunflower

~ Patatoes, different types

~ Tomatoes and other vegetables

~ Grapes and Wine

- Olives and Olive Oil

~ Almonds and other nuts
