Spaghetti “Al Sérgio”

Hi everyone. Today I bring you a pasta recipe that I cook very frequently because it´s easy to do and tastes great. This recipe is called "Al Sérgio" because it´s my hubby´s recipe. It´s similar to "Spaghetti Bolognesa" but goes in the oven.
Next time I cook this recipe I´ll update the blog with a picture for you to see how it looks.

Ingredients:

~ 300 gr of ground meat,
(beef, pork or mixed)
~ 6 Slices of bacon
~ 300 gr of Spaghetti
~ 150 gr Sliced cheese
~ 1 Minced onion
~ 4 Cloves of minced garlic
~ 6 Medium tomatoes
~ 3 Tsp of tomato paste
~ 2 Tsp of white wine
~ 4 Tsp Olive oil
~ Oregano and 1 tsp of parmesan cheese to sprinkle
~ Salt

Directions: 5 easy steps to cook a great recipe

1. Cook 2 slices of bacon with 2 tablespoons of olive oil for 2 minutes, add three cloves of garlic, meat, salt, and cook it until well browned. Reserve.

2. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water (around 8/10 minutes). Drain spaghetti, and rinse with cold water. Reserve.

3. Cook the onion and the garlic with the other 2 tablespoons of olive oil until well browned. Stear in crushed tomatoes, previously prepared and salted, tomatoe pulp, white wine and mix well. Cook the tomato sauce for 10/15 minutes, mixing frequently, and reserve.

4. Preheat oven to 200º C.

Now you have all the ingredients ready, the next step is to finish cooking them in the oven.

5. In a special tray to cook in the oven put a layer of spaghetti, one of meat and cover it with tomato sauce. Repeat the process until you finish all ingredients, top with cheese and the other 4 slices of bacon. Sprinkle with oregano and the parmesan cheese. Olives also match well with this recipe. Cook it the oven for 30 minutes or until cheese melts completely. Serves 3/4.
Bom Apetite!

looks tasty, I'll give it a try! I spent a few summers in Portugal and really enjoyed the food (although they do tend to over salt the fish!)
Obrigada!

Hi. Thanks for your visit and comment. This pasta recipe is one of my favorites. If you try, let me know what you thought, ok?
Yes, it´s true. Portuguese tend to over salt all food, not only fish. I don´t like salt very much, so in my kitchen I do the opposite.
Glad to know you liked my country. Cheers.
