Portuguese Fish Pastry: "Pastéis de Peixe"

Hi everyone.
Fried salted pastries are very common in Portugal. We have the typical "Pasteis de Bacalhau"(codfish), meat "Croquetes" and "Rissóis"(different types), among others.
In Portugal pastries are served as a starter, an afternoon snack or as a meal, served with different types of rice (tomatoe, carrot, corienter, etc) and salad. Today´s post is my recipe of salted fish pastries.

Ingredients:

~ 100 gr Cooked fish (any fish)
~ 3 Medium boiled patatoes
~ 4/5 Tsp flour
~ 1 Egg
~ 1/4 of a medium onion
~ 1 Small clove garlic
~ Fresh parsley
~ Black pepper/Nutmeg
~ Salt
~ Vegetable oil to fry

Directions:

First, I smash the potatoes with a fork and mix the fish, previously cleaned. I add garlic, onion, and fresh parsley, all cutted in very small pieces. After this I add salt and mix well.
Then I add one beaten egg and the flour, one spon at the time. Sometimes I use ground nutmeg instead of ground black pepper.
I use two soup spoons to shape the pastries and I fry them in hot vegetable oil. After frying, I put them in a plate with absorbent paper.
Before frying:

After frying, I put them in a plate with absorbent paper. They look like this:

Bom Apetite!
