Allue, one reader of Portuguese Menu asked a pertinent question about my last post, the Pork Stroganoff. She asked:
"Should I fry the beef first on garlic and salt, and then after frying, place it on a plate. pour the sauce on beef, right?"
Well, maybe my directions weren´t very clear, so I will recap them now:
1 - Fry the meat with sliced garlic and salt, add black pepper if you like it;
2 - Mix the cream, ketchup, mustard and a pinch of nutmeg in a small bowl. Mix well;
3 - When the meat is well done, add the stroganoff sauce to the meat (in the pan), mix well.
4- Let it cook for 2 more minutes (the sauce turns more redish);
5- Put the meat in a plate, pour the sauce on top and it´s done;
